How to hear your inner yes and no

Hello Awakening Soul,

Ever feel like your brain is spinning with all the “shoulds,” while your body quietly whispers something else?

For me, this has felt like being pulled in two directions.
It’s the sensation of internal conflict — a low-grade anxiousness that hums in the background of everything.

Let’s be honest:
If your mind is running the show, you’re not making sovereign choices.
You’re reacting. Defaulting. Performing.

But your body already knows.
She’s been telling you yes and no for years.
You just stopped listening.

Today, we begin again.

🌀 Why You Can't Think Your Way Into Alignment

Overthinking is a survival pattern — not your fault, but not the path either.

One of my favorite quotes by Michael Singer says:

“The mind is the place the soul goes to hide from the heart.”

Many of us learned not to trust our truth — not to cry, not to say no, not to be too much.

So we retreated into the mind.
Analyzing. Rationalizing. Guarding.

This is how the Heart-Wall is formed — a subtle, protective barrier built from every time you followed your heart and got hurt.

But alignment doesn’t live in the mind.
It lives in the body.

If you're always polling friends, asking for signs, or looking for a “logical” reason to act on your desire — that’s not sovereignty. That’s strategy.

And soul doesn’t play that game.

👂 What Your Inner Yes & No Feels Like

Your nervous system tells the truth — always.

Here’s how it may show up:

Inner Yes

Expansion

Warmth in chest or belly

Breath deepens

Calm but energized

Relaxed posture

Inner No

Constriction

Tightness in jaw or gut

Breath shortens or holds

Pressure or dread

Tension or bracing

Ask yourself:

  • “Does this feel open or closed?”

  • “What’s happening in my breath?”

  • “Where in my body feels heavy or tight?”

This isn’t about logic.
It’s about sensation.
And sensation is sacred.

💫 A 2-Minute Practice to Hear Your Body’s Truth

Do this each morning this week — just two minutes.

  1. Sit still. Close your eyes.

  2. Hand on heart. Hand on belly.

  3. Ask: “Body, what do I need to know today?”

  4. Breathe. Let the answer rise from feeling — not thought.

  5. Whatever comes, let it be enough.

If nothing comes up? Stay with it.
I ignored my intuition for years — it took time to hear past the noise.
You’re not doing it wrong. You’re just reconnecting.

When you stop outsourcing decisions and start honoring your body’s wisdom:

  • You reclaim clarity

  • You activate your intuition

  • You build self-trust — the kind no external source can give you

This is how we become women we no longer abandon.
Not by doing more.
But by coming home to the truth that’s always lived inside us.
