Living the Unlearning

How to Walk Your Truth in a Conditioned World

Hello Awakening Soul,

We’re sold the idea that healing is a destination — a peak moment of clarity, relief, or transformation.
But real healing? That’s just the doorway.

What comes next is integration.
The embodiment of your truth in your daily life.
The practice of unlearning, over and over again.

🌿 What Living the Unlearning Actually Looks Like

It’s not always peaceful.
It doesn’t always feel expansive.
Sometimes it looks like...

  • Saying “no” even when your voice shakes

  • Choosing rest over productivity (and sitting with the discomfort)

  • Letting someone misunderstand you and not over-explaining

  • Walking away from what’s "good" but not aligned

  • Catching yourself mid-pattern and choosing differently — even if it feels awkward

It’s not about “getting it right.”
It’s about living as if you are already whole.

When I get uncomfortable (which is still often!) I remember Brene Brown’s words, “Lean into the discomfort”. When I first started I would literally lean! It’s ok to be uncomfortable, and it’s okay to dislike. We can do hard things. We are worth doing hard things for.

🧠 Why Growth Feels Like Grief

When you let go of old patterns, you’re also letting go of old identities.
The version of you who kept the peace, the version who over-delivered, the version who survived?

She got you here. And now… she’s dissolving.
It’s okay to grieve her.

Your nervous system doesn’t know if change is good or bad — it just registers difference.
And different can feel like danger.

That’s why integration often feels like:

  • A loss of motivation

  • Emotional sensitivity

  • A need for stillness that feels like regression

  • Questioning everything (again)

You’re not broken.
You’re not lost.
You’re stabilizing.

💫 3 Integration Practices for the Week

1. Daily Body Compass Check-In
Ask yourself: “Am I open or closed to this?”
Let the answer guide small actions.

2. Practice Micro-Alignment
Choose one thing a day that honors your YES.
It doesn’t need to be dramatic — just truthful.

3. Respond, Don’t React
When triggered, pause.
Breathe.
Let your body settle before speaking or acting.

🧘 You’re Already Doing It

If you’ve said one honest thing...
If you’ve paused instead of pushing...
If you’ve honored one no...

You are living the unlearning.
Let that be enough.

You don’t need another breakthrough.
You need space to integrate the one you already had.
